The holiday house

    La Torretta Farmhouse is a small guest-house located on a charming hill of the Chianti Countryside, just 3 kilometres from the historic centre of Siena, with spectacular view on the town and surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees.
    The medieval peasant house is marked on the map of the 16th century, completely restored by keeping the original style typical of the Sienna countryside farms.
    The holiday farm offers hospitality in rooms or apartments 2/4 sleeps.

The organic farm

    The vineyard is the most important crop. The red grapes "Sangiovese" are the best for Chianti Wine (Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG). The grapes gathering is made with the hand from the half of September until November.
    The olive gathering is made with the bare hand from end of October until November and the olive working take place within a few days, to assure the peculiar characteristics of the olive and than of oil, but the price is four tmes higher than other origins.
    We have also fruit-trees, safron and capers. You can see also dogs, cats, pigs and other animals.
